Walkman & Sony Ericsson

About

Working with Walkman branded Sony Ericsson phones back in the days (2005-2008) is still one of the peaks in my career. I learned so much from the Art Directors from Sony. How to treat brands on that level was totally new to me.

It was super interesting to incorporate the Walkman logo in the UI with animations and transitions of all kinds. At this time there was a lot of experimentation with Macromedia Flash animations in the UI. We also started collaboration work with London based UsTwo.

The secondary front displays was introduced during these years. We also worked a lot with illuminated surfaces and hardware buttons. It was like the wild west :)

We where also developing apps like SenseMe (a proprietary music mood and tempo detection system) and Clear Audio (a technology that provide users with a superior audio experience by improving various aspects of sound reproduction).
